An early morning blaze destroyed the Park Theater Mall in scenic Estes Park, Colorado, on October 19, 2009. According to reports, the blaze broke out around 6 a.m. in the small shopping center, which is located next to the historic Park Theater. The theater itself was not damaged in the fire. By midday, fire crews said the blaze was out and they were working to contain "hot spots." Background
Estes Park is a small town located about 70 miles northwest of Denver, Colorado. The town sits at the entrance to Rocky Mountain State Park. It is the home of the historic Stanley Hotel.
