History
Esquire was founded in 1933 by editor Arnold Gingrich during The Great Depression.Magazine.org: 42nd Annual Ellies Magazine Industry's Premiere Awards Gingrich was the editor until 1961.

E-Ink Cover
In September of 2008, Esquire was the first magazine in history to issue an e-ink cover. Images in the magazine will move with the help of tiny batteries embedded into the magazine.
