College Football has been a staple of ESPN programming since the network's inception in 1979. Weekly action includes featured games on Thursday nights, as well as Saturday nights, which are now produced by ESPN for airing on ABC. There is also several other games that are televised each week on the family of ESPN affiliated networks. Perhaps as popular as the game action is the studio-styled programming that is offered, including College GameDay, which often originates from the site of the biggest game each week, and the newly installed daily program known as College Football Live.
