Erratic in Crisis

Barack Obama, the Democratic Party presidential candidate in the Election 2008, released a new TV ad on October 6, 2008, criticizing Republican Party candidate John McCain for being "erratic in crisis". The TV ad mentions the current financial crisis and claims McCain is "out of touch with the economy" and therefore wants to "change the subject" by attacking Obama. The ad was a preemptive response to an ad the McCain Campaign planned to launch on October 7 that would discuss Obama's alleged ties to Antoin Tony Rezko, a real estate agent convicted of money laundering, and William Ayers, a former member of the radical group Weather Underground.Politico: Obama Calls McCain "Erratic in Crisis" (October 6, 2008)

Text of Ad

"Three quarters of a million jobs lost this year. Our financial system in turmoil. And John McCain? Erratic in a crisis. Out of touch on the economy. No wonder his campaign wants to change the subject.Turn the page on the financial crisis by launching dishonorable, dishonest ‘assaults’ against Barack Obama. Struggling families can't turn the page on this economy, and we can't afford another president who is this out of touch."Politico: Obama Calls McCain "Erratic in Crisis" (October 6, 2008)
