Erin Andrews

Erin Andrews is a sideline reporter for ESPN. She began by covering the National Hockey League, and has since moved on to College Football and Major League Baseball after ESPN downgraded their hockey coverage. Her father, Steve Andrews, is a six time Emmy Award winning television news reporter.

In July of 2009, Andrews was videotaped nude in her hotel room without her consent using a peephole. The footage was posted on the Internet, prompting legal action from ESPN. TMZ reported on April 2, 2010 that Erin Andrews has recently been the target of multiple death threats. The threats were sent via email to a radio show. There apparently were three different emails, each of them sent to The Dan Patrick Show radio show.

Playboy magazine ranked her in 2007 as "America's Sexiest Sportscaster," beating out Lindsay Soto and Krista Voda. Andrews garnered almost 40% of the vote from the user-determined contest. The most popular video montage of Andrews on YouTube has been viewed over one million times.

While at the University of Florida, Andrews performed for the Gator Basketball dance team, and aspired to be a back-up dancer for Britney Spears. From 2000 to 2001 Andrews worked as a freelance reporter for Florida South. Her next job was as a reporter on the Sunshine Network for the Tampa Bay Lightning. From 2002 to 2004 she worked for Turner Sports covering the Thrashers, Braves and Hawks, before signing with ESPN in 2004.

In July, 2009, a peeping tom filmed Andrews naked through a hotel peephole. The video was posted on the Internet and spread through torrents and other video-sharing sites. The video was quickly removed from YouTube and Andrews took legal action against the hotel and person who filmed her. On December 3 there was a new devlopment in the case as the FBI served search warrants at Yahoo and Google offices in Silicon Valley. The tenth season of Dancing With The Stars premireed on March 22, 2010. Erin Andrews and her professional dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy danced second and performed the cha-cha-cha. The judges said she needed more control over her leg and arm movements but gave her a score of 21 out of 30 points to finish tied for third with Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood. Andrews said the dance was all about trust. Movie night was the theme for week five dances. Erin and Maksim danced a jive summoning Uma Thurman and John Travolta in Pulp Fiction. In week six, Andrews and Chmerkovskiy danced the samba. Head judge Len Goodman gave them a seven, but said she should be getting eights, nines or tens from him if executing a proper dance. Chmerkovskiy removed his shirt and Goodman says that Andrews is too good for that. The other judges scored their dance a nine. Erin and Max scored 27 out of 30 for their quickstep dance but only 24 for the team dance which placed them second from the bottom for the week. In the semifinals, Andrews and Chmerkovskiy danced a Viennese waltz and a paso doble. They scored 27 out of 30 on the waltz which the judges liked despite a few nerves and technical errors by Andrews. Evan and Anna scored 52. But during the results show, Erin and Max got the lowest score of 26 on their tango and combined with the public vote, placed them in third for the competition.
