Erik Larsen

Erik Larsen is an American comic book writer and artist.

Career

Erik Larsen's first published comic work was the Megaton anthology, which featured "The Dragon" character Larsen created when he was a child.

He then worked for DC Comics on titles such as The Outsiders, Adventures of Superman and Teen Titans before jumping to Marvel in 1990.

Following the success of the Todd McFarlane-drawn Amazing Spider-Man series, Larsen was brought in to take McFarlane's place as lead artist. The venture proved successful as the title saw a sales increase during Larsen's time working on it.

In 1992, Larsen, along with McFarlane and four other Marvel artists, formed Image Comics, where Larsen reintroduced Savage Dragon, based off the character he created years prior. The Savage Dragon comics remain one of only two Image titles still in publication, and continues to be written and drawn by Larsen.
