NFL and Suspension
Erik Ainge was selected by the New York Jets with the 162nd overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft. He is currently the fourth string quarterback and not a member of the Jets' active roster. Ainge is out for the 2008 season with a foot injury.On November 21, Ainge was suspended by the league for four games after violating the NFL's steroid and substance abuse policy. Ainge is not allowed to be with the team or come to the team facility during his suspension. He will be eligible to return to the team on December 15.
