Eric Wedge is the former manager of the Cleveland Indians. Wedge took over as manager in 2002, after the Indians fired Charlie Manuel. In 2007, Wedge lead the Indians to the playoffs on his way to earning the American League Manager of the Year Award.

2007 Season
In 2007, Wedge lead the Indians to first place finish in the AL Central and their first post-season appearance since 2001. The Cleveland Indians went on to defeat the New York Yankees in the first round of the playoffs, before loosing to the eventual champion Boston Red Sox. At the end of the season, Wedge was acknowledged as the MLB and Sporting News manager of the year for the American League.-
