Eric Violette

Eric Violette is an actor/musician based in Montreal, Quebec. Best known in the United States for the wildly successful FreeCreditReport.com advertising campaign, Violette has also starred in one full-length movie "Les echangistes" and several short films ("tu t'souviens-tu?", "Dans les yeux", "Brandon"). In addition, Violette has done commercial work for "Radio Satellite Sirius", "M & M", and "Banque Royale du Canada". ~~~~~~ In October 2007, Experian Consumer Direct began airing an advertising campaign featuring Eric Violette as a man struggling with difficult life circumstances due to his poor credit score, and his ignorance of it. The commercials feature jingles using various distinctive forms of popular music. To date the company has aired nine different commercials, which have aired in different orders in different markets.

FreeCreditReport.com musicians are back on air singing about their poor credit scores and all the woes that come with it. They made their TV debut nearly two years ago and are still apparently drowning in the mistakes of their poor financial management. In this spot, the band is playing in a Western bar and the curly-topped front man brings the lyrics of his latest country ditty back to the beginning, when he first sang about his poor credit score from the basement of his girlfriend's parents' house.

Eric talks about how they film the FreeCreditReport.com ads, being recognized everywhere he goes, and his new Band, God Against God.
