On May 20, 2009, Naposki and his ex-girlfriend Nanette Packard McNeal were charged with the 1994 murder of millionaire William Francis McLaughlin. Naposki was arrested on May 20, 2009, and charged with the December 15, 2004, murder of millionaire businessman William Francis McLaughlin. In the 1980s, McLaughlin founded a company that filters plasma from blood. According to reports, Naposki's live-in girlfriend, Nanette Packard McNeal, formed a romantic relationship with McLaughlin after he answered a personal ad she had placed. Naposki faces charges of murder for financial gain and personal use of a firearm.
