Eric Collins is a 27-year-old Bronx man that was arrested on March 19, 2009, and charged with reckless endangerment, criminal possession of a weapon and assault in the accidental shooting of 50-year-old Denise Delgado Brown. Collins allegedly shot Brown with a bow and arrow on March 15, 2009, while she was dropping churchgoers off at a nursing home. The arrow pierced through a fence and lodged in her stomach. The Shooting
On March 15, 2009, Eric Collins accidentally shot Denise Delgado Brown in the stomach while she was dropping off churchgoers at a nursing home in the Bronx.FoxNews: Woman Shot by 30-Inch... (March 16, 2009) Collins had just moved into his grandparent's home and was unpacking boxes when he decided to take target practice with the contents of one of them. He used a bow-and-arrow to fire off six shots, one of which accidentally hit Brown in the stomach. Although an accident, Collins did not come forward willingly, and in fact denied being involved during the first round of questioning.
