Eric Burdon

Eric Burdon was the lead singer of The Animals in the 1960s, a band that was part of the original British Invasion along with The Beatles and The Rolling Stones. Their signature song, "The House of the Rising Sun," was originally a New Orleans folk tune.

In the 1970s after The Animals broke up, Burdon began a stint in the funk band War. They released two albums with Burdon providing vocals before he embarked on a solo career.
