  • Eric Brewer is a professional hockey player originally from Canada. He is currently playing with the St. Louis Blues of the National Hockey League.

  • Career Highlights

    Brewer began his career playing in the Western Hockey League for the Prince George Cougars, starting in 199]. He was then drafted fifth overall in the 1997 NHL draft by the New York Islanders. He made his NHL debut the next year, playing 63 games with the Islanders and 25 games with the Lowell Lock Monsters, the Islanders' American Hockey League affiliate. A June 24, 2000, trade sent Brewer to the Edmonton Oilers. In 2002, Brewer represented Team Canada in the Winter Olympics, helping the team win the gold medal. The following year he was selected for his first NHL All-Star Game appearance. On August 2, 2005, the Oilers traded him to the St. Louis Blues where he has since been named team captain.
