Eric Barton is a professional football player in the National Football League for the Cleveland Browns.

College Football Career
Prior to playing professionally, Barton played college football with the Maryland Terrapins in the NCAA. He topped 100 tackles three of his four seasons with the Terrapins, leaving the school as fourth on their all-time tackles list. NFL Career
Eric Barton was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in 1999 and played in all 16 games during his rookie year. Barton started all 16 games in 2002, racking up six sacks as the Raiders made it to Super Bowl XXXVII. In the championship game, Barton recorded 13 tackles as the Raiders lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
