Football Career
Prior to playing in the NFL, Alexander played college football with the LSU Tigers. He began on special teams, but moved to outside linebacker for his senior season.
Eric Alexander was signed by the Patriots after going undrafted in 2004. Alexander spent his first two seasons on New England's practice squad and saw limited action in only four total games. In 2006, he made the team's main roster and played in 14 games. Alexander started at inside linebacker during a playoff game as well.
