• Football Career

  Prior to playing in the NFL, Alexander played college football with the LSU Tigers. He began on special teams, but moved to outside linebacker for his senior season.

  Eric Alexander was signed by the Patriots after going undrafted in 2004. Alexander spent his first two seasons on New England's practice squad and saw limited action in only four total games. In 2006, he made the team's main roster and played in 14 games. Alexander started at inside linebacker during a playoff game as well. He registered 14 tackles in 2006 and played in 12 games during the 2007 season, racking up 18 tackles. Alexander has mostly been used as a player on special teams.Patriots.com: Eric Alexander
