Epsilon Eridani is a star located at the center of the closest known solar system to our own. On October 27, 2008, NASA reported that the planetary system has two asteroid belts, compared to ours, which has just one.
Astronomers from the SETI Institute and Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics say that Epsilon Eridani appears to resemble what our solar system looked like when life formed on the Earth.USAToday.com: Earth-like Planet in Epsilon Eridani? It Is Logical, Captain (October 27, 2008)

Scientists say one asteroid belt is situated at approximately the same position as ours, the second belt is likely to be comprised of asteroids. The finding of the second belt leads scientist to believe that there may be additional planets in the Epsilon Eridani system, some could be similar to the Earth.NASA: Press Release: Closest Planetary System Hosts Two Asteroid Belts (October 27, 2008)
