Presented at E3 2010, Epic Mickey received positive feedbacks from critics after the official release date. After its release on November 30, 2010, Epic Mickey was reviewed by various editors and was well received based on the scores they awarded in their articles. One of the reviews was made by Richard George, IGN’s editor. In his article Richard George gave an overall score of 8.0 out of 10. Epic Mickey impressed the critic with its presentation which received 9 points. Richard George awarded 8.0 to the lasting appeal and to the sounds from the game. While the lasting appeal impressed the critic because the game features multiple collectibles, the sound score was affected by the voice acting. The gameplay also received a lower score, 7.5, because the game’s controls and camera can become frustrating. Overall, Richard George outlines that:
