Background
In 1957, Jack Taylor, a U.S. Navy fighter pilot, started Executive Leasing Company with just seven cars. Over the years the demand for rental cars started growing so Jack added a car rental division to his St. Louis, Missouri based company. Taylor recognized that there was a lack of local neighborhood car rental facilities and decided to expand. 500 Branches later, Jack Taylor renamed the company Enterprise Rent-A-Car. http://aboutus.enterprise.com/who_we_are/milestones.html
