It is set in the same universe as Quake II and Quake 4, with a back-story serving as a prequel to Quake II and a follow-up to Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory.

• GamePlay

  Capture enemy territory either by completing objectives or to defend the objectives for a specified amount of time, with each side alternating between offense and defense. In addition to primary missions, sub-missions are available that ease progression for your team. With the completion of objectives, successful attacks, and assist your team with the specific strengths of your class, you will gain experience points (XP). Additional XP gains class-specific upgrades last for one campaign (three maps), such as light weapons, vehicles, or battle sense. These will reset when the campaign is completed.
