  • Enemy Mine is a 1985 Science Fiction film about survival on a lonely planet between two enemies, one human and one "Drac." In the film, Dennis Quaid plays Willis E. Davidge, and Louis Gosset, Jr. plays a member of a reptilian alien race. After an air battle in which both end up crash landing on the barren planet, the pair initially try to kill each other, but later learn to cooperate. In its simple, allegorical plot, the film recalls episodes of the original Star Trek TV series, more than it does other Sci Fi films of the 1980s. The film is set in the late 21st Century and was a major hit in the Soviet Union, where it was one of the first American films to receive an official release.
