Enchanted

Enchanted is a fantasy film about a princess from an animated world that is magically thrown into New York City, and the trials that ensues in her new world.

While living in the animated city of Andalasia, Giselle (Amy Adams) is engaged to marry Prince Edward (James Marsden). The Prince's mother, Queen Narissa (Susan Sarandon) is not happy about the engagement, because the marriage will remove her from the thrown. She casts a spell which sends Giselle to a place where there are no "happy ever afters", which ends up being New York City. She meets Robert Philip (Patrick Dempsey) who believes she is crazy, but takes her into his apartment regardless. Robert's girlfriend, Nancy (Idina Menzel) gets upset when she finds Giselle in his apartment. Robert kicks Giselle out, then takes her back when he notices her kindness. In the end, Nancy ends up with Edward and Giselle and Robert are seen playing with Robert's daughter, living happily ever after.
