Plot Summary

Emma Woodhouse (Gweneth Paltrow) is a nice young woman who has made a pastime of involving herself in the affairs of others, and fancies herself as something of a matchmaker. While seeking romance for her friend Harriet, Emma is blind to her true feelings, causing her to search for love in all the wrong places. When Emma and Harriet fall fall for the same man, Emma is torn between following her heart and protecting her friendship.
