  • Emily Wynne-Hughes is the lead singer for the all-girl punk group Go Betty Go. She auditioned for the hit show American Idol knowing that if she made it onto the show the band's European tour would be canceled.

    Emily Wynne Hughes auditioned on the premiere of the 8th season of American Idol with the song "Barracuda" by the band Heart. She brought her mother along to the audition, who had a career as a singer for years. Judge Paula Abdul said that the audition was in the top 5 of the ones they had seen.
