• Emily Osment is an American film and television actress and occasional singer. Her most notable role is in the Disney channel series Hannah Montana where she plays Lilly Truscott, best friend of superstar Hannah Montana, played by Miley Cyrus. Osment is the younger sister of actor Haley Joel.

    Emily Jordan Osment was born in Los Angeles, California on March 10, 1992. She is the daughter of actor Eugene and teacher Theresa. She was raised as a Catholic and once attended the Flintridge Preparatory School. She now has a private tutor.

  • Early Career

    In 1998 Osment appeared on television for the first time in a commercial for a local flower delivery company. In 1999 she made her acting debut in The Secret Life of Girls which starred Eugene Levy and Linda Hamilton. Also in 1999, she co starred with Glenn Close in the movie Sarah, Plain and Tall: Winter's End in which she was nominated for a Young Artist Award.

    In 2006 Osment was chosen to portray Miley Stewart's, played by Miley Cyrus, best friend in Hannah Montana. She was nominated for a Young Artists Award for her role. She also stars in Hannah Montana's Backstage Secrets

    Osment appeared in Spy Kids 2: Island of Lost Dreams in 2002 and Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over playing Gerti Giggles. She was nominated for a Young Artist Award for her role.
