Emilio Diaz, father of actress Cameron Diaz, died from pneumonia on April 15, 2008 at the age of 58 years old.

According to reports Diaz, who was an oil company foreman, was in good health until he developed the flu which quickly affected his chest. Production on the actress' latest film My Sister's Keeper was shut down due to her father's death.
