Emilio de la Morena

Emilio de la Morena is a relative newcomer to the world of high fashion, but is distinguishing himself with a personal style that draws from his Spanish heritage as well as artistic and sculptural inspirations. The designer was born in Spain, and earned a degree in International Business from Edinburgh before pursuing his passion for the arts of sculpture and fashion design. In 2002 he enrolled at the prestigious Central Saint Martin’s School in London, and upon graduation he began his career by working for Rafael Lopez and Jonathan Saunders. Emilio de la Morena's spring/summer 2009 collection was purchased and sold by Browns Focus, a London retailer that caters to a sophisticated, fashion forward clientele. Celebrities began to take notice...Leigton Meester drew rave reviews for her stylish appearance at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, wearing a sexy Emilio de la Morena dress. Emilio's fall/winter 2009 collection was inspired by the metal sculptures and graphic art of Eduardo Chillida, and featured strong silhouettes and heavy ornamentation that further clarified his emerging presence as a unique voice on the London fashion scene.
