Career
Fruto signed with the Seattle Mariners as undrafted free agent on July 2, 2000. After several years of playing for Mariners' minor league affiliates, Fruto made his MLB debut on May 14, 2006. On December 18, 2006, he was traded along with Chris Snelling to the Washington Nationals in exchange for Jose Vidro.
