Z-100, or WHTZ, is broadcast at 100.3 FM on the radio dial in New York City. The station started out as an easy listening channel known as WMGM, and then was renamed as WVNJ in the 1960's. The station switched to jazz music in 1980, and then began playing top 40 hits in 1983 (which was when it became WHTZ). The first song to play on WHTZ was Survivor's "Eye of the Tiger."
