Elvis Costello is an Irish musician and Singer-Songwriter whose punk rock influence, new wave style and deft songwriting talent have made him a unique musical voice for over three decades.

Background
After getting his start by performing in the London club scene of the 1970s, Costello released his debut album in 1977. After putting together a backing band, The Attractions, Costello and Co. had a hit with the song "Watching the Detectives". After releasing a number of successful albums during the 1980s, Costello went out on his own and released a number of albums with The Attractions. Costello continues to write and record music and has also been featured in a number of films.
