Eloise Hawking, or Ellie, is a character on ABC’s hit series Lost. Eloise is the mother of Daniel Faraday, and had a relationship with Charles Widmore. She is a mysterious woman who always seems to know more then she's saying.

On the Island Ellie used to be leader of the Others. Eloise was in the Hostile’s camp when a strange man came in, waving a gun and demanding to see her. Eloise shot the man in his abdomen. As the man died, he realized it was Eloise who had shot him. He whispered her that she had “Known it the whole time” with a betrayed tone in his voice, he then revealed that he was her son, Daniel Faraday. Eloise then skimmed through Daniel's journal and was taken aback when she recognized her own handwriting. She was surprised to learn he really was her son from the future who had time traveled. After that she helped Daniel’s friends try to detonate a hydrogen bomb, in an attempt to change the future.

After the Island When she left the Island, she lived in England, always pressuring her son towards being a better researcher in theoretical physics. Years later she was involved in making sure Desmond Hume went to the Island. Within time she moved to Los Angeles and became the caretaker of the Lamp Post, a secret DHARMA Initiative station able to find the Island. Using this station she helped Benjamin Linus and the Oceanic Six return to the island by marking Ajira 316 as the flight that would take them there. The next day she visited Desmond in the hospital, who had just been shot by Ben. While there she tried to comfort Penny. Penny asked her if Desmond would be alright, Eloise said that for the first time in a long time she did not know what would happen next. As she left she saw Charles Widmore,who refused to go into the hospital to see his daughter saying he had already sacrificed their relationahip. Eloise became livid and told him not to tell her about sacrifice after she sent her son back to the Island only to die. Widmore replied by saying that Daniel is his son too.
