Lawsuit
Elmo Shropshire was sued for breach of contract in November of 2007 by the Fred Rappoport Co. Rappoport claimed that a previous 2004 settlement gave it the rights to Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer and characters from a 2000 animated TV special based on the song. Rappoport sought a $2 million injunction, which was filed at the Los Angeles County Superior Court. -
