The Elmira Jackals minor league professional hockey team plays in the ECHL as part of the East Division in the American Conference. The Jackals are coached by Steve Martinson and play their home games at First Arena in Elmira, New York. During the season, the Jackals were led by brothers Tyler and Justin Donati, who each topped 100 points on the year. Elmira Jackals History
In their first several years in operation, the Elmira Jackals played in the United Hockey League. They saw winning records in just two of their seven seasons in the UHL, reaching the playoff finals in 2002 and 2004.http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/display_standings.php?tmi=5652 In 2007, the Jackals left the UHL to join the ECHL.
