    It was on September 9, 2007, in a game against the New York Jets when Hobbs broke the NFL record for the longest kickoff return. Previously the record had been held by Tony Dorsett at 99 and a half yards. However, on this date Hobbs returned a kickoff 108 yards down the field - from inside one end zone to the other. At the time, the play tied the record for the longest play ever seen in the NFL.
