Elizabeth Strout

  • Elizabeth Strout is a Pulitzer Prize-winning American fiction author of short stories and novels. She was born on January 6, 1956, and raised in New Hampshire and Maine.

    Strout received a Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2009 for her book Olive Kitteridge. The book is a collection of short stories about a woman and her family and friends who live on the coast of Maine. Prior to Olive Kitteridge, Strout wrote two novels, Amy and Isabelle and Abide With Me.
