Elizabeth Dole

Dole earned her master's degree in education in 1960, and five years later earned a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School. She met Bob Dole in 1972 and married him three years later. In October 2008, she began running ads in North Carolina accusing Hagan of taking funds from the "Godless Americans" political action committee.
