Elizabeth Berkley played the role of the straight A, straight edge student Jessie Spano on Saved By The Bell from 1989 to 1993. She then gained notoriety for her starring role in her film debut Showgirls. Showgirls was critically panned, won two Razzie Awards and stalled Berkley's film carreer.
Berkley then attended University of California, Los Angeles and majored in English Literature. After college Berkley attempted a film comeback with appearances in the movies Roger Dodger and The First Wives Club. In 2004 Berkley made her Broadway debut with Sly Fox and later won a role in the play Hurleyburly.
Berkley now acts as host and judge the television show Step It Up And Dance.
