August 23, 2008: Elizabeth Acevedo, a woman with a history of prostitution, was found unconscious in the hallway of the apartment building where she lived. Investigators believe she had been hit in the head by a client. Acevedo was confined to a wheelchair and wore a prosthetic leg.
