The Elite Eight is a term used in sporting events to represent the final eight competitors or teams left in a sports competition bracket . It is most popularly used during the NCAA basketball tournament when there are eight of the 65 teams remaining. This page will be updated as soon as more information becomes available.
In the 2009 NCAA Men's Tournament, the winners were North Carolina, Michigan State, Villanova and Connecticut.
