Goergl best finish through the 2009 season was in Lake Louise where she won 1st place in the Super G. The event took place as part of the FIS World Cup and was on December 6th, 2009. Also, Goergl won 2nd place in two events throughout the season as well. First, she finished 2nd in the downhill at Val d Isere. This event took place February 6th, 2009. Also, she finished 2nd in Giant Slalom in Ofterschwang. Elisabeth has been skiing for over ten years, since the year 2003. She became part of the Federation of International Skiing or the FIS in 2003. In the 2006 Olympic Games in Torino, Italy, Elisabeth would compete in only one event, Downhill. She would not finish the downhill event.
In the 2010 Winter Olympics, Goergl will compete in the Olympic Women's Super-G, Olympic Women's Downhill and Olympic Women's Giant Slalom events.
