Originally a child actor, Elijah Wood made a seamless transition into adult roles, appearing in such movies as Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Sin City. He has also had main roles in the popular The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Career Highlights
Wood made his first film appearance at seven years old in the 1989 film Back to the Future Part II. He continued as a child actor in the popular films Avalon, Radio Flyer and Forever Young. His first major roles as an adult came in the The Lord of the Rings series in the early 2000s. Following the highly successful trilogy, Wood had smaller parts in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Sin City. He also was a voice actor in the 2006 animated film Happy Feet and has done voice over work for several video games.
