An electric razor, also known as an electric dry shaver is a razor powered by a small electric motor used for shaving. Many run on rechargeable batteries while some are still run on house current. Traditional electric razors were run only on dry skin, modern versions are now being made allowing for the use of shaving cream or gel. They have traditionally been made for a man's beard, however are also available for women's shaving. Variations of an electric razor work to cut short hair, commonly called hair clippers used to cut or shave a man's hair.
