The Electric Daisy Carnival Festival first began in 1996, in Southern California. Like The Mile High Music Festival the EDCF is a two-day event with a number of stages that perform a large variety of electric dance music.
In 2009, The Electric Daisy Carnival Festival 2009 entertained more than 140,000 people and using up as much as one-half of the Exposition Park in Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, making this the largest dance festival outside of Europe. 2009 was also the first appearance for the festival in Puerto Rico. The festival has also taken place in Colorado and Texas. Other competitors like Ultra Music Festival and Monerey Pop Festival run a three day weekend event.

Electric Daisy Carnival Festival Amenities
The food vendors on the festival grounds will be offering food and beverages for every taste, but there are several hotels and restaurants located nearby.
The Marriott Los Angeles Downtown Hotel is in walking distance to restaurants, shopping and lounges and is 2.6 miles from the Coliseum.
