The Elder Scrolls
The Elder Scrolls (TES) is a series of role-playing video games (RPGs). The series began with "The Elder Scrolls: Arena" in 1994, and the most recent game released was "The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion" in 2006.
"The Elder Scrolls: Arena", the first game in the series, involves a search across Tamriel for the Staff of Chaos in order to release Emperor Uriel Septim VII from imprisonment by Jagar Tharn.
"The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall" (1996) finds Emperor Uriel Septim VII requesting assistance in handling the trapped spirit of King Lysandus.
"An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire" (1997) tells the story of the center of magical training, the Battlespire, which has been overrun by Daedra.
"The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard" (1998) follows Cyrus searching his Stros M'Kai for his sister Iszara.

Two novels are to be released, written by Greg Keyes and set in the Elder Scrolls universe. The first, "The Infernal City", was released November 24, 2009. The story takes place after the events of "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion", and will involve a seventeen-year-old girl named Annaïg, the Emperor's son Prince Attrebus, and a strange floating city, Umbriel.
