The design is for a streetscape of etched limestone columns supporting three 65-foot-tall tapestries. The tapestries will be woven from translucent (see through) stainless steel. The three tapestries will be pictures that tell the story of President Eisenhower's achievements. General Dwight D Eisenhower made the controversial decision that won World War II. He delayed the landing of the allied troops on the beach at Normandy France for one day. He later was elected the 34th President of the United States. His nickname was Ike.
