The 2002 holiday film Eight Crazy Nights is an animated musical written by and starring Adam Sandler.

Sandler plays Davey Stone, who was once a star basketball player as a child. After his parents were killed he has led a less ambitious life of drinking and trouble with the law. The consequences of one drunken night is about to send Davey to jail, when Whitey Duvall, also voiced by Sandler, comes to his rescue. Whitey is the elderly coach of the local basketball team who suggests that Davey preform community service with the team rather than serving jail time. Davey's trailer home is burned down and Whitey, along with his germaphobe sister take Davey into their home. Comedy and musical numbers continue as Davey unwillingly tries to deal with life with Whitey.
