Eidetic memory, also known as photographic memory, is the ability to recall sights and sounds in large volume and in great detail. It is typically thought of as an extreme ability of visual recall, but can have a different meaning among memory experts. Some claim the ability to "see" an object that has been removed as vividly as when it was in front of them. Synesthesia is a term that is specific to enhanced auditory memory.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eidetic_memory
