Edwin Jackson

Edwin Jackson is a Major League Baseball player. He is currently a pitcher for the Tampa Bay Rays.

Early Life

Edwin Jackson was born in Ne-Ulm, Germany, on September 9, 1983. In 2001, Jackson was selected by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the sixth round of the Major League Baseball draft.

Pro Career

On September 9, 2003, Jackson made his MLB debut with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The date was especially unique for Jackson since it was also his 20th birthday. In his first season, he appeared in 4 games and compiled a record of 2 wins and 1 loss with a 2.45 earned run average. In 2006, he was traded to the Tampa Bay Rays with Chuck Tiffany for Danys Baez and Lance Carter. In 2007, Jackson finished the season with a 5.76 earned run average with 5 wins and 15 losses.
