Edward Scissorhands

Edward Scissorhands is a Tim Burton film about a lonely boy named Edward who has scissors for hands. He was created was created by a scientist who died before he could finish his hands. Edward is found all alone in a mansion on a hill by the local Avon lady who adopts him and brings him back to the suburbs. The 1990 comedy-drama stars Johnny Depp and Winona Ryder.

The inspiration for Edward Scissorhands came from a sketch that director Tim Burton drew as a child. The boy with scissors for hands reflected his feelings of isolation, and his inability to communicate with family and friends.
