Edward Anderton

In December 2007, Edward Anderton and his girlfriend Jocelyn Kirsch were arrested and charged with several crimes relating to a series of identity thefts. The couple used the over $116,000 they stole from their victims, including friends and neighbors, to furnish a high-class lifestyle. The media dubbed the Philadelphia-area duo the "Modern-day Bonnie and Clyde" and a federal prosecutor called them "the poster children for identity fraud." In June of 2008, Anderton appeared in court to plead guilty to six charges related to the identity thefts. Kirsch appeared in court on July 15, 2008, and plead guilty to the same charges. She was given a five-year sentence in the case. Anderton was set for sentencing in November 2008.
